Best MagSafe 3-in-1 Charging Stations for iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods

Three devices, one plug. The catch is the Apple Watch pad: most cheap stations trickle it for hours. Six stations compared on 25W Qi2.2, watch certification, and what folds for travel.

Belkin Qi2.2 25W 3-in-1 Foldable Charging Station

Qi2.2 25W, Belkin quotes 0 to 50% in 29 minutes

$74.99 · 4.3/5 · 628 reviews

A 3-in-1 station promises one plug for your iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods. The iPhone and AirPods parts are easy: any Qi coil will do, and magnets handle the alignment. The Apple Watch pad is where the category splits in two.

Apple licenses its watch charging puck. Stations that use the licensed module charge a Watch at full speed, and a current Watch goes from flat to 80% in under an hour. Stations that do not use it still charge a Watch, but slowly, often at 2.5 or 3 watts, which turns a quick top-up into an overnight affair. The listing will not always tell you which kind you are buying. We checked each one below.

The second split is wattage on the phone pad, and that one has changed in the last year. Qi2 is 15W. Qi2.2 is up to 25W, and the iPhone 17, 17 Pro and 18 Pro models can use all of it. Four of our six picks are Qi2.2.

What we looked for

  • A certified watch pad, or an honest wattage. We say which stations advertise Apple's certification and which do not.
  • Qi2.2 25W where the price allows it, since a station bought now will outlive your current phone.
  • Whether it folds. Half the people buying these want a nightstand, the other half want something for a hotel room. A folding station does both.
  • What is in the box. A 25W station needs a 30W or larger adapter. Some include one; some assume you have one.
  • Heat. Three coils under one phone is a lot of warmth. Two picks here have active cooling or heat isolation, and that shows in the review themes.

The Apple Watch pad is the real difference

Among the six, the ESR states Apple's watch certification outright and the Belkin quotes Apple Watch fast-charge times, so both deliver the fast mode. The UGREEN lists the Watch as supported but does not spell out certification on the listing. The LISEN and Ouotoo make no certification claim, and the Acer states its watch pad at 3W, which is the slow mode.

That is not a reason to skip the cheaper stations. It is a reason to buy them for a nightstand, where eight hours on the pad makes the speed irrelevant, and to buy a certified one if you charge your Watch during a shower.

25W only helps on a current iPhone

Qi2.2 at 25W reaches its full speed on the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, Duo, 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, plus the iPhone 16 Plus and 16 Pro Max, and Apple notes it needs a 30W or larger adapter. The iPhone 16 and 16 Pro reach 22.5W and the iPhone Air 20W. On an iPhone 17e, or an iPhone 15 or older, the same station runs at 15W, which is what the Acer and Ouotoo deliver for less than half the money. If your phone is one of those and you do not plan to upgrade soon, the two 15W stations here are the rational choice.

Apple's exact ceiling varies by model more than the two tiers suggest. Qi2 vs MagSafe lists the figure for each iPhone.

The flip side: the Belkin, ESR, UGREEN and LISEN will charge the next iPhone at full speed too, which is what you want from something that lives on a desk for years. The same logic applies to MagSafe car chargers, where the wattage gap is just as wide.

Folding versus a fixed stand

Five of the six fold. The ESR collapses to 4.33 by 2.44 by 0.62 inches, the UGREEN weighs 7.4 ounces, the LISEN 6.35. Folding adds hinges, which is where durability complaints concentrate: both the Belkin and LISEN have durability as a mixed review theme.

The Ouotoo is the one fixed upright stand. It holds the phone vertical, which makes it the only pick here that works properly with StandBy as a bedside clock, and it has a switchable night light. Fixed stands have fewer moving parts and this one has 8,700 reviews at 4.4 stars, which is a lot of nightstands.

Our picks

The Belkin is the default: Qi2.2, fast Watch charging, folds, from a brand that has made Apple-licensed chargers for years. The ESR is for anyone whose phone runs hot while charging, because it has a fan. The UGREEN is the lightest 25W folder. The LISEN brings Qi2.2 under $40 with the adapter in the box. The Acer is the best-rated station on the list and includes its adapter, at 15W. The Ouotoo is the nightstand pick under $20.

Frequently asked questions

Do 3-in-1 stations come with a power adapter? Not always. The LISEN includes a 45W adapter and the Acer a 27W one. For the others, check the listing before you buy, and use a 30W or larger USB-C adapter if you want 25W on the phone pad. A weak adapter is the most common reason a new station charges slowly.

Will a 3-in-1 station charge my iPhone through a case? Through a case with a magnet ring, yes. The magnets align the coil and hold the phone against the pad. A thick case without a ring will charge slowly or not at all, because the pad has no way to find the coil.

Can I charge an Apple Watch Ultra on these? Yes. The watch pads are the standard circular size and the Ultra charges on them. Fast charging still depends on the station using Apple's certified module, which the ESR and Belkin do.

Do these work with the iPhone 16e? The phone will charge if you place it carefully, but it will not snap into place, because the 16e has no magnets. On an angled stand it can slide. A magnetic case or a stick-on ring fixes that.

Is 25W wireless charging bad for the battery? No more than 15W. The iPhone manages its own charging rate and slows down as the battery fills and as it warms. The station with a fan and the one with heat isolation exist because cooler charging stays faster for longer, not because 25W is harmful.
